"August Journey" Giveaway!

Phew, just under the wire for my giveaway this month! If you follow my blog, then you know I've just returned from a 2 week road trip up the East Coast. My first stop was New Orleans, one of my favorite places to visit. I'm in love with its passion, underworld quality, and the mix of Catholicism and voodoo. Just a haven of inspiration for a dark artist, such as myself! This month, I'm giving away my newest print (and the 1st print made), of my New Orleans inspired illustration, "Fortune Teller". The print measure 8" x 10", with a white border for framing (the logo will not be on your print). This came from the mix in my imagination of voodoo queen tales, fortune tellers in Jackson Square, the remains in the St. Louis cemeteries, and the intricate ironwork on the historical buildings. I just love it there!

To be entered in the giveaway, please comment on this post, telling me your favorite place to visit. It can be somewhere you've travelled to, or as simple as your favorite bench at your local park.

If you already follow my blog or start following my blog, you'll be entered twice!

If you post a link to my giveaway on your blog, tweet about it on Twitter, or post it on Facebook-then you'll be entered twice for each action!

This giveaway ends on Monday, the 31st. I'll contact and post the winner shortly thereafter. :) This giveaway is open to my International friends too!

My favorite place I've traveled to(so far) is Spain. Love the people, the architecture, the food, you name it. Most laid back and kind people I've run across in my travels. I lived there for a year when I was younger & then went back for over a month.

I absolutely love Edinburgh, Scotland; the city is marked with high gothic style buildings and beautiful cobble stone roads. It just feels as if you're back in history because time is so preserved there. The landscape is amazing, not to mention the awesome accents and cute guys all tatted up. (mhmm!) It just holds my heart. Beautiful artwork dear. :]

I am a total sucker for any place with a beach, lol, but my favorite was St. Thomas. The water was so blue and clean. We went snorkeling, and it's like a whole nother world down in the water there!

The Oregon Pacific Coast! A wild coast line--very pretty and not for bathing suits. Better for beach combing and hunting for treasures although the days of the Japanese fishermen using glass floats is long gone (the few I have I save as they are antiques).

Love the bright colors in your print!

One of my very favorite places to visit is chicago, my sister lives there and I've seen all the museums more times than I can count, but it's always the most fun. Thanks so much for the chance to win this beautiful print!

We have a small but very old cemetery right down the street where I live and I love going there to sew and to draw. It's so peaceful and very pretty. Lots of great inspiration.

When we moved to Florida, my husband brought me to the beach so I could see actualy blue water and white sand. It was at the end of October, so ther weren't many people out so we were able to view the beach for all its worth. :)

I've travelled to many places and loved a lot of them, but I'd have to say that my two favourites will have to be Goa in India, and San Francisco in the States.
