Yesterday was a pretty lazy Saturday for me. I stayed in and decided to just play around with my sketchbook. I sketched "Sailor Sam" into existence, and decided to polish him up and create him in full color. He brought a smile to my face, as I created his little sailor outfit. :) I think he'd be fun for a children's book character, getting into all kinds of adventures on the high seas! I just listed him in my Etsy shop, we'll see if he sails on to a new port...

He's very cute in that salty sailor way. :) I can picture a series of books around his adventures.
