Renewed and happy to be back!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a warm and happy holiday, I certainly did! Despite the general craziness and stress that seems to surround Christmas, I just adore that time of year. I'm always a little sad to take down the tree and decorations, and I'm one of the few that misses the Christmas jingles playing in every store. Although, I feel that 2011 is going to be a fabulous year, so I'm ready to usher out Christmas and welcome the New Year with open arms! Dave and I also celebrated our 6 year anniversary. :)
During my 2 weeks off, I realized how attached I've become to my computer life, and how much I missed being on Etsy and blogging. On the other hand, I also realized all I've been letting pass by while glued to my computer. Before I started my business, I didn't even own a computer, and I did just fine. My resolution is to find a balance between computer time and the simple joys in daily life. Has anyone felt this way, and if so, do you have any advice on finding that balance?

I opened my Etsy shop back up today, and I've added these:

"Day of the Dead Loteria" Postcards

I'm off to catch up on all the blog posts that I've missed while away, but not for too long - have to start working on my resolution! ;)

  3. I'm looking for that balance as well, haven't found it yet, have no clue how to find it, so if you do, please share :) I'm finding myself inspired by others online, and this is my current "input" that determines what I do put out as far as art goes. Maybe it's the cold, but I'm not wanting to be outdoors away from the computer either!
Welcome back, Happy Anniversary, and Happy New Year! May it be abundant!

  4. Welcome back, Leila! I know that life is a balancing act no matter what we do ;) It's like keeping those spinning plates on a long stick before they start crashing on the floor, does that make sense? So, perhaps "balance" can be a concept to focus on this year. Btw, did you know that in the Korean Culture, it's "The Year of the Cat"? So, meowww to you and Mr. Meow :)

my little Adventure boy ( who turned 10 on sunday ! ) and I start dancing in the stores during holidays we just cannot resit it lol he is so cute in his fur hat and wool parka dancing along ;-)
congrats to You and your sweetheart ! Bob and I are celebrating #27 on apr. 1st lol we are fools aren't we ☺
I used to complain about I'm always in the middle but then realized it is a well balanced person who is in the middle ;-) I too struggle with computer because of being so visual and I love to write but it also takes me from my family , my books , etc. so it does me great good taking these sabaticals ;-) I know I don't want to be completely without computer as I have such beautiful connections with others and learn so much but also want time for family etc.
so I think the creator has our PC break down every now and then ;-) just to put me back on track
    take care sweetie
