Saint Sarah

I recently discovered Saint Sarah among the many patron saints of the Catholic church. She appealed to me because she's the patron saint of gypsies, and is fictionally rumored to be the daughter of Jesus and Mary Magdalene. Every year on her pilgrimage day, May 24th, thousands of gypsies from all over the world travel to France to celebrate her.
This painting has been done on a cupboard door and I've attached some of my plaster creations to the top. She's quite the dramatic, vibrant piece in person!
