It's finished! I just spent the last two days (about 15 hours) cleaning, sanding, and painting an old cupboard door. A neighbor was tossing out a framework of wood cupboard doors from the 40s or 50s, and I snatched them, seeing their hidden potential. They are solid and have a cool distressed/vintage look, perfect for my "old school" tattoo pieces. I decided to do a "Dia De Los Muertos" theme on the first door, and I added modern, tattoo style wings. He's surrounded by traditional tattoo roses, and a border of webs (they were a labor of love). This piece is wicked in person, and is one of my favorite creations! Have a Happy Mother's Day!
